We spent about four days on the beach... four too many if you are Shaun- but we're not and the rest of us actually wished for MORE time on the beach! This was our first day- which you can probably tell by how white our skin still was. By the end of the week- the back of Ty and Ryan's necks were BROWN! It was crazy... and I couldn't help but be a little jealous of their gorgeous skin!
Kate was a little leery of the water, so Miss and I played down in the sand with her.
She still wasn't too impressed...
Ryan was though! He loved digging in the sand!
And he became Chief Sand Crab Watcher for his brother. Ty went crazy digging those poor things up! He would bring them up to us by the handful and put them in this little blue bucket and Ryan would promptly sit down and start stirring them up.
Grandpa JB found a new boogie boarding buddy this year... We really couldn't keep Ty OUT of the water this year! Quite the change from two or three years ago when Grandpa had to drag him INTO the water.
Jer got talked into becoming the most beautiful sandy mermaid...
Ryan wasn't too sure of the water either. My kids love the swimming pool- but it's a little different when that water starts crashing down on the sand and chasing you!
Digging for more sand crabs...
Grandpa and Jer built a sand shark...
Ryan thought about riding the waves for about two minutes...
And Ty just rode the waves like he was born to!
Kate and I built a sand village one day...
