It was sunny today. So Ty and I wanted to spend the day outside. But I feel like a bad mom when Ryan is out in the sun a lot (mostly because I tend to forget about sunscreen)- so I came up with this GREAT idea! I put up the beach umbrella in the middle of our front lawn. The neighbors all got a kick out of it- but the more I looked at it- the sillier it became. Oh well. It served a purpose and we had a lot of fun today. Grandma Janet gave Ty and Ryan bug nets and Ty caught a fly. He was really excited! Ryan just chewed on his- but he was excited to be included.

Super cute. What else are you going to do to keep the sun off the kids... BRILLIANT I SAY! LOVE IT.
Seriously, I algree with BRILLIANT! Anything to make it a little less hot. So awesome!
Chase thinks it's stupid when I comment on every post....but I just love your marathon blogs!! :)
Good job on the fly Ty...I need you to come back here with that catcher thing...I've got a bee in the living room that won't find it's way outside, and a moth in the bathroom that keeps itself hidden until I get in the shower....then it comes out in full force and drives me crazzzzy!
I have to sleep with the bedroom door closed so they both don't bug me at night!
Don't worry, I probably would have done the same thing or something similar. Very smart!
White trash would be a rusted Pinto in the front yard with the kids pretending they were driving it as a daily game!
Kenna is right, I had two of those giant umberellas and posted them in the yard regularly. Great minds think alike-way to go Jess!!!
